Thomas Metcalf and University High Schools will host an in-school open house for the University community where they will showcase student work. Participants will have the opportunity to tour the building and to talk to students.

Education Then and Now: Lessons in a One-Room Schoolhouse

An Illinois state student teacher from University High School will teach a lesson at Eyestone School using contemporary and traditional teaching methods. Observe the lessons being taught and attend a reception.

College of Education faculty, faculty associates, and staff are invited to imagine a future where the real tenets of Realizing the Democratic Ideal is how we function and what that will mean for the making of teachers.
Turning our attention back to the College of Education—back to where it all began—this academic year-end event will initiate conversations about the future of teacher education and our place in it. The College of Education's Five-Year Plan will be presented.
