Biography Tom Haynes has been involved with the preparation and in-service development of secondary education professionals for over twenty-five years. He has been on faculty at Illinois State since 1985. As a faculty member, he has served as a business teacher educator and coordinated of Business Teacher Education in the College of Business for 16 years. From 2001 through until 2006 he served as Coordinator of Secondary Education in Curriculum and Instruction. He teaches courses regarding teaching methods for secondary education candidates as well as graduate courses involved with improved instructional practices and the preparation of teachers. He is the director of the Connections Project, a staff development and secondary school reform initiative with the Illinois State Board of Education (ISBE). The ISBE has continuously funded the Connections Project for 25 years. He is currently serving as Interim Coordinator of the MS degree in Curriculum and Instruction, the Ed.D program in Curriculum and Instruction, and Secondary Education in Curriculum and Instruction. http://www.connectionsproject.ilstu.edu/
