Graduate Programs in Curriculum and Instruction

The Department of Curriculum and Instruction at Illinois State University offers nationally acclaimed masters and doctorate programs in education as well as an alternative route to secondary teacher certification non-degree program.

These programs offer unique experiences that will prepare you for a professional career in education. Review the description of these programs to learn what opportunities a graduate education could grant you. Only the Alternative Route program leads toward teacher certification.

Alternative Route to Secondary Teacher Certification (non-degree; not offered in 2008)
M.S. in Curriculum and Instruction*

M.S. in Instructional Technology and Design*
Ed.D. in Curriculum and Instruction*
     *These graduate degree programs do not lead toward teacher certification;
      certification for grades K-9 can only be obtained through a second bachelor's degree.
