Checking the Status of your Gateway Requirements

You can check on-line to see if you have met the all of the requirements for Admission to Professional Studies and Admission to Student Teaching. Here's how you do it:

• Click on "start,"  then "programs,"  then "internet tools." 

• Click on "Telnet to SIAS".  This will take you to the main menu.

•  On Line 3,  then press enter your Social Security Number.

•  On Line 4,  enter your university PIN number. 

• Press the "enter" key. This will take you to a Main Menu.

• Select "1" and hit "enter".

• Select "6" on the next list of choices, and hit "enter".

• At the "GATEWAY" prompt, Type "01" for Admission to Professional Studies requirements status or  Type "02" at "GATEWAY" for Admission to  Student Teaching requirements status.   

• Press "enter" to move to a second page.   In the MET column you will see:
  Y for requirement met 
  N for requirement NOT met 
  W for requirement WAIVED
