Superintendent Endorsement Core

The Superintendent's Endorsement requires 36 semester hours beyond the Master's Degree as well as possession of a valid teaching certificate, a valid Type 75 certificate, and two years of administrative or school leadership experience. Starting Fall 2002, the course requirements are at least 36 hours of coursework including:

*EAF 576
*EAF 580
*EAF 582
*EAF 584
*EAF 585
*EAF 586
*EAF 587
*EAF 598 (6 hours of practicum--clinical experiences)

Total 36 hours
(30 overlap with CSBO certification--additional CSBO courses are EAF 575, EAF 596, and EAF502)

*Required for CSBO certification

Prior to enrolling for the last 3 hours of EAF 598 students should successfully complete the required Illinois certification examination.
