Biography Dr. Farris has presented throughout the U.S. and the world. She has published 178 refereed articles in such journals as LANGUAGE ARTS and THE READING TEACHER. Her books include LANGUAGE ARTS: PROCESS, PRODUCT, and ASSESSMENT (4th ed.), TEACHING READING, ELEMENTARY AND MIDDLE SCHOOL SOCIAL STUDIES (5th ed.), and TEACHING, BEARING THE TORCH (2nd ed.). Dr. Farris works with school districts throughout IL and the Midwest in the areas of reading and writing.
