Biography Susan Almeida is a Reading Recovery Teacher Leader. She has taught Reading Recovery to area teachers since 1990. She has certification from The Ohio State University and New Zealand. She earned a MS in Ed from Illinois State University in 1978 in Reading. She has taught undergraduate and graduate level reading and writing classes at ISU. Currently, the Reading Recovery Program at ISU serves over 30 area school disctricts. She oversees 55 certified Reading Recovery teachers in the area. She reports to National Louis University for Reading Recovery status.
