Teachers for All Children Grant

The Center for Reading and Literacy has received a $1.7 million grant from the federal government for a project called Teachers for All Children. This grant is under the direction of George Torres, Curriculum and Instruction.

This grant is part of the U.S. Department of Education's Transition to Teaching program. Grant partners include the University Center of Lake County and the School Districts of Waukegan, Zion, North Chicago, and Diamond Lake. Support for the project is also provided by the Illinois Education Association, the College of Lake County, and the Lake County Regional Office of Education.
