5-8 -- Alternative Geography Assessment Items Safe From Natural Hazards You are a travel agent who has been contacted by a wealthy person who lives in another country. This person wants to live in the United States but is very concerned about the various natural hazards that occur here: floods, tornadoes, hail storms, hurricanes, earthquakes, etc. Since this person is wealthy, she can live anywhere she wants. Your task is to recommend below the “safest” place for her to live; that is, the place in the U.S. where she is least likely to be negatively affected by a natural hazard.
