Joseph L. White, M. Ed. Joe White is the Social Studies Department Head for McLean County Unit 5 Schools in Normal, Illinois where he coordinates the K-12 social studies curriculum, supervises teachers, and teaches social studies at Normal Community and Normal West High Schools. He has consulted for the Illinois Geographic Alliance, the Illinois Goals Assessment Program and the National Assessment of Educational Progress. Joe also serves on advisory committees for the Education and History Departments at Illinois State University. He was awarded the School Administrator "Those Who Excel" Award of Merit by the Illinois State Board of Education in 1996.
