Executive Committee
The officers of the Chapter, the Chapter Counselor, and the Chapter Associate Counselor(s) shall constitute the Executive Committee. It shall be the duty of the Executive Committee to direct the activities of the Chapter and to act in cases of emergency between regular Chapter meetings. The Executive Committee may call meetings of the Chapter, other than the regular meetings, for the purpose of discussing or acting upon Chapter business.

The following committees shall be appointed annually:

Membership Committee

It shall be the duty of the Membership Committee to: (1) collect the names of persons eligible for membership, (2) validate and rule on all qualifications for membership for each such person, (3) present this information to the Executive Committee, and continually update the e-mail address file of active members and, to the extent possible, inactive members. The Chapter Counselor shall serve as a regular, voting member of this committee.

Program Committee

It shall be the duty of the Programming Committee to: (1) help prepare programs for each meeting of the Chapter, (2) assist with the four evening seminars that the chapter co-sponsors with the Dept. of Curriculum and Instruction each semester, and (3) plan special events such as the Sheridan School Book Drive.

Scholarship Committee

It shall be the duty of the Scholarship Committee to: (1) publicize the Stella Henderson Scholarship and the Counselor’s Award in time to receive applications at least three weeks prior to the awarding of those honors, (2) judge the applications and make a recommendation to the Executive Committee concerning the winners, and (3) make the presentations at the appropriate Induction Ceremony.

Other Committees

The Executive Committee shall have the authority to appoint other committees (e.g., Publicity, Bylaws, Nominations, Hospitality, Initiation, Scholarship) as the need for these may arise.
