Dr. Rod Riegle's EAF 228: Social Foundations of Education course was featured in the November 23rd issue of AACTE Briefs, a publication of the American Association of Colleges for Teacher Education.
EAF 228 was the world's first totally online course for teachers and is the first course to be designed using video game principles. Dr. Riegle is a faculty member in the department of Educational Administration and Foundations. He earned a B.A. in education from Wittenberg University and an M.A. and Ph.D. in philosophy of education from Ohio State University. In 1994 he designed and taught the world's first totally asynchronous courses for teachers and administrators utilizing the Internet and has since taught more than 2,000 students online.
