Acting Associate Vice President visits college

(September 26, 2006) Acting Associate Vice President for Graduate Studies, Research, and International Education, Rodney L. Custer, spoke to College of Education faculty researchers regarding support services offered by the Office of Research and Sponsored Programs. Custer noted that the office could provide grant-seekers services related to grants administration, governmental relations, ethics and compliance, and intellectual property.

Custer reviewed institutional data regarding grant-related activity, focusing on the productivity of college departments and units with regard to competitive grants, congressionally authorized grants (earmarks), direct funding from agencies, and contracts.

Custer is the former chair of the Department of Technology at Illinois State and has served as Acting Vice President for past three months.
