All teacher education majors have an opportunity to learn about urban education from a first-hand experience. Sign up for the one-day Chicago Urban Bus Trip to visit the Chicago Public Schools.

This trip takes place on Friday, October 26, 2007 and is
open to all education majors (on a first-come basis).
The cost is $16.
Meet in the DeGarmo parking lot at 6:00 a.m. Look for the Peoria Charter Bus Line outside DeGarmo Hall.
Bring a non-perishable sack lunch (food and drink that does not need to be refrigerated) to eat at the school. You should also bring a pillow and snacks for the bus.
Dress professionally (no jeans, T-shirts, or sweatshirts).
We will return between 5:00 and 6:00 p.m. to the same location. This is a round-trip commitment. You must return on the bus. You may not drive yourself.
Class conflicts on trip day
If you have classes on October 26, contact Lorraine Perkins in DeGarmo 547 for a verification letter to show your professor(s).
Earn clinical hours
If you would like to receive four clinical hours for the trip,
after the October 26th trip is over.
The cost of the trip is $16.00. To pay for the trip:
Pick up a voucher from Lorraine Perkins in DeGarmo 547.
Take the voucher to the Student Accounts Building (607 W. Dry Grove) to pay for your trip. Your money is not refundable, unless you can find someone else to take your place.
Return your receipt to Lorraine Perkins.
