(July 9, 2008) On June 30 and July 1, Phil Parette, Kara Peters Endowed Chair and Director of the SEAT Center, conducted two workshops for more than 400 teachers in Chiang Mai, Thailand. Hosted by the Bureau of Basic Education Commission, Ministry of Education, the workshops focused on helping teachers develop competencies for supporting students with learning disabilities in Thai schools.
The Special Education Assistive Technology (SEAT) Center, a unit of the College of Education at Illinois State University, is an international leader in training future and practicing teachers to use technologies that will help students with disabilities participate effectively in their schools and other settings.
