All teacher education majors have an opportunity to learn about urban education from first-hand experience. Sign up for the one of the Chicago Urban Bus Trips to visit the Chicago Public Schools.
Who: All teacher education majors (on a first-come basis) When: Fall 2009 trips are full. There will be two trips scheduled in Spring 2010. Where: Look for the Peoria Charter Bus outside DeGarmo Hall
Trip details
The trips are open on a first-come basis.
The cost is $16.
Meet in the DeGarmo parking lot at 6:00 a.m. Look for the Peoria Charter Bus Line outside DeGarmo Hall.
Bring a non-perishable sack lunch to eat at the school. You should also bring a pillow and snacks for the bus.
Dress professionally (no jeans, T-shirts, or sweatshirts).
We will return between 5:00 and 6:00 p.m. to the same location. This is a round-trip commitment. You must return on the bus. You may not drive yourself unless there are extenuating circumstances, please

Class conflicts on trip day
If you have classes that you will miss because of the trip,
in DeGarmo 222 for a verification letter to show your professor(s).
Earn clinical hours
If you would like to receive five clinical hours for the trip,
after the trip is over.

Reserve your place today by picking up an application form in DeGarmo Hall, Room 244 on Monday, Tuesday, or Wednesday mornings from 8:00 a.m.-12:00 p.m. Ask for Kuangyu.
