Biography Maureen Smith has been an academic advisor in the Department of Curriculum and Instruction since 1994 and has been employed at Illinois State University since 1989. With a Bachelor’s degree in History Education, Maureen taught many years in both junior high and in high schools. After receiving her Master’s degree in History at ISU, Maureen has also been an instructor at the community college. Maureen resides in Normal with her daughter and enjoys travelling and reading.
