Faculty and Staff

Nancy L. Slattery has been a teacher of young children in urban, rural, and suburban public schools in both Colorado and Illinois for much of the past three decades, most recently in Highland Park, Illinois. She also has served  as instructional assistant professor for Illinois State University where she taught undergraduate literacy courses. Her current position at ISU involves coordination of clinical experiences for both elementary education and early childhood education majors. Since achieving National Board Certification in 1999 as a Middle Childhood Generalist, Nancy has mentored accomplished teachers throughout Illinois towards achieving National Board Certification. She is currently engaged in doctoral studies in Curriculum & Instruction at Illinois State University.
